About

I am Michael Seeley; an English major at the University of Florida. I am currently in the class Internet Literature for which I am creating this blog.   The purpose of this blog is to document the five qualities of literature that will carry over to the next millennium.  These five characteristics are inspired by Italo Calvino who wrote a book , “Six Memos For the Next Millennium,”about five memos about the qualities of Lightness, Quickness, Exactitude, Visibility, and Multiplicity.   In his book,  Calvino gives an abundance of analogies and emblems to help show the importance of each of these five qualities and why they must be persevered for the next generation of technology known as Internet Literature.

I have studied each quality and This blog will go into more detail of each quality with more depth as I will present my own analogy, emblem, and give examples for each quality.  Also, my goal is to have each aesthetic property represented throughout my blog.  This blog is a reflection of my personal experience with electronic literature.  What I experience will be reflected through the emblems, examples, and examples of electronic literature.
